Summary
This 12-bar blues sequence blends classic blues movement with jazz harmony, opening with a quick lift to the IV7 in bar 2 before dropping to the I7 in bar 3 and resolving through a suspended I7 into the tonic in bar 4. From there, it follows familiar blues territory with a move to the IV7 in bar 5, then adds colour in bar 6 with a #IV°7 passing chord. The second half leans more jazz-blues, using II–V motion, a iiiø7 to ♭III turn, a common ii chord in bar 9, and a dominant V7 in bar 10, before finishing with a turnaround that moves through I, VI, II, and an augmented V7 to lead smoothly back to the top.
